The news is out! So excited to announce that I am your new Mrs. Cayuga County America representing my area at the Mrs. New York America pageant in Syracuse, NY in June 2022.
So if you heard that news and are new here, a little bit about me: I am a lifelong New Yorker and lover of the Buffalo Bills. Since 2016, I have been serving as the Director of Children's Formation in Pittsford, NY to the Church of the Transfiguration community. In 2017, I met my future husband John, and my life got flipped and turned upside down. In just over a year we got married and I moved to the Finger Lakes region which I call home. Philanthropy and giving back to my community are the cornerstone of my life. In 2010, I found my voice in speaking about the violence, neglect, and addiction that surround my childhood. I created Annie's Victory, dedicated to bringing awareness, and support to children who are experienced similar situations and recently expanded on it to become You Are Not Alone. Annie's Victory name is in honor of my mother, Annie who was tragically killed in 1997, when I was 10 years old. While my mother is gone, I strive to live my life in a way to honors her always. I want my life to be spent giving the world a greater understanding of the effects abuse and addiction have on the children who live through these experiences. This year, I will be tackling this cause and expanding on programs I started bringing more awareness and resources. I want to embrace my experience and use my story to encourage others to end the cycle and bring healing. Make sure to check out my website www.victoriawejko.com for a resource library and much more to come! Please reach out for appearance requests, opportunities, or fundraising inquiries. And follow along here as I share more about life, pageants, and thriving. |
