I hope all of you are having a healthy start to 2023!
It is my honor and privilege to serve the Junior League of Syracuse as President now and through the 2023 – 2024 League year. I look forward to supporting and working beside you all toward building a deeper connection with each other and our community this League year. At the beginning of the year, I pick a word to be the theme for the year, this year I picked Promise. It seems like a fitter word as I look forward to my tenure as President and to being part of this legacy of tremendous servant leaders. Our legacy is built on a promise to impact our community by cultivating powerful women leaders. This is a promise we have kept alive and built on for over 100 years and is still going strong. As many of you know, I took on the position of President-Elect back at the start of the year, and I am now stepping into the role of President a little earlier than expected. Each President builds on the last, and I must give a huge thank you to our outgoing president Amanda Perrine who served our League through the last few years of unprecedented times and felt it was time to step away for a bit with the full confidence that we would be able to move forward. We are proud of our history but excited about what is to come. Looking ahead we are striving to nurture a premier membership experience where every member not only feels they belong but understands how important they are to our organization and flourishes as a growing leader. We train our members to become people who are ready to jump in and contribute where there is the greatest need. What differentiates the Junior League of Syracuse is the relationships and connections we make while working together and collaborating with community partners throughout our city. JLS Members, our future is so bright and full of promise. Now is the time for us to build on our strong foundation and focus on the difference we can make together. Please know that I am here with you every step of the way and that I am always available to you. With a grateful heart, Victoria Wejko President 2023-2024
